The warmer parts of the year are my favorite. Each year, however, they seem to go by in a flash.
This year, I am determined to savor the summery bits.
This means spending time with the sliding door open.
This means walks out doors.
This means making things like lemonade.
This limeade was inspired by a cilantro limeade that looked quite refreshing. However, when I went to the store, the cilantro looked as if it had seen better days…days ago. The mint, however, was looking quite fresh.
When I went home with the mint, I hadn’t intended to include strawberries, but they were there just looking at me, all red and luscious wanting to be consumed.
So basically, I juiced some limes, made a simple syrup and steeped strawberries and mint in it, and mixed away!
Summer, I’m waiting!
