Often I want to add a bit of heat and a bit of salt to what I&#8217;m eating. The answer, in that case, could be hot salt! My original idea, which I will likely try at a later time, was to pulse hot pepper with coarse salt and then bake it at a low temperature to dry out the moisture from the pepper and get a hot salt. I didn&#8217;t have hot peppers, and I really wasn&#8217;t going to go to the store again this weekend, so I decided to use that hot sauce that I made a little while ago.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sherlonya.net\/blog\/archives\/2205\/img_3261\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2208\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2208\" alt=\"IMG_3261\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sherlonya.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_3261.jpg?resize=450%2C335&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"450\" height=\"335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sherlonya.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_3261.jpg?resize=1024%2C764&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sherlonya.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_3261.jpg?resize=300%2C224&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sherlonya.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_3261.jpg?w=1500&amp;ssl=1 1500w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sherlonya.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_3261.jpg?w=2250&amp;ssl=1 2250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This salt is made from Habanero hot sauce. Here, \u00a0you definitely get the heat, but also the fruitiness you read so much about when you read about Habanero peppers. Overall, I would call this a success.
