 It has been nice here in Michigan. The sky is blue again. The birds are in party down mode.<\/p>\n

The warm months are my favorite time of year.<\/p>\n

\nI am determined to make the best of it.<\/p>\n

Sometimes that means enjoying a nice, cool beverage.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s even better when it’s easy (like Sunday morning?).<\/p>\n

That’s where this whisky lemonade comes in. This is also where you are free to remember Marcy Playground, subbing in whisky lemonade for disco lemonade. Please, please someone tell me that you got that reference.<\/p>\n

 With a knife, a blender, a few ingredients and a strainer, you can have a very bright and drinkable potion. Perfect for creating magic in a back yard, or a porch, or a balcony…however it is you roll for your warm weather enjoyment.<\/p>\n

2 lemons, washed well and cut into quarters<\/div>\t\t\t\t
1\/4 cup granulated sugar<\/div>\t\t\t\t
8 cups water<\/div>\t\t\t\t
1\/2 cup Maker's Mark<\/div>\t\t\t\t
ice<\/div>\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\t\t

Instructions<\/div>\t\t\t
\t\t\t\t
Place lemons and sugar into a blender.<\/div>\t\t\t\t
Fill blender with water.<\/div>\t\t\t\t
Blend until pretty smooth.<\/div>\t\t\t\t
Place a mesh strainer over a pitcher and pour the pureed lemon mix through the strainer.<\/div>\t\t\t\t
Add Maker's Mark and stir.<\/div>\t\t\t\t
Serve in a glass over ice.<\/div>\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>
