I recently made some white chocolate hazelnut milk. This pecan milk<\/a> caught my eye. Pecans have sentimental value to me. When I was young, my family would go to Louisiana every year, and we would always come back with a big bag of pecans. Pecans are a childhood food. Nut milks are and adult food. This marriage is what marriage means to me these days.<\/p>\n

Ginger + apple + pumpkin<\/a>? I’m going to just have to say yes.<\/p>\n

Since I’m in the mood to say yes…. Soy Sauce Roasted Cashews<\/a>?!?<\/p>\n

Lest you think that I only think about food (and presidents<\/a>), let’s think about bracelets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I remember having such strong passion about the gender injustice of dress codes when I was in high school. I’ve mellowed. Or something. But, as the (single) mother of a son, I don’t suddenly thing that it is a girl’s responsibility to dress according to boys’ (and mens’) inability to handle being around female bodies. Funny thing is, though, that as an adult, I’ve adapted a how-can-I-hide-this-ample-bosom-of-mine strategy. I like to call it dressing defensively. That is why this article made my head explode a little bit<\/a>.<\/p>\n
