\n<\/a>Sometimes I sew.<\/p>\n

I don’t sew often, but as time goes by, I find more and more pieces of my wardrobe were born of my own sewing machine. <\/p>\n

Part of it has to do with this body. I am of ample bosom, of long and generous thigh, and I come with a nice pat of behind. This creates complications when shopping. Things can get real weird, real fast. The problem with this, besides being uncomfortable, is that if my cups runneth over, who is to know that isn’t the look I’m going for?<\/p>\n

For the record: that’s not the look I’m going for.<\/p>\n

So, sometimes I sew.<\/p>\n

According to Stitcher<\/a>, I’ve listened to  I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts over the last two and a half years. 1,311 hours worth of podcasts. One of the ones that I’m enjoying right now is Abby Glassenberg<\/a>‘s, While She Naps podcast. Each week Glassenberg talks with someone creative about what they do and how they go about doing it. I love it; and have found it inspiring.<\/p>\n

Recently I listened to an episode of the podcast when Abby G. talks with Sonya Philip, a fiber artist who embarked upon a project called 100 Acts of Sewing<\/a>. The short story is that Philip took a sewing class that focused on drafting patterns, then she made a dress. Then she made some more. Then she decided to make 100 of them. Pretty dang awesome.<\/p>\n
