\"bokeh2\"A while ago, I bought a DSLR camera. Sometime before my road trip to Texas<\/a>. I’ve added some lenses here and there, and have spent some small amount of time learning how to do things with the camera.<\/p>\n

When I’m planning to go somewhere, I usually find myself reading tutorials that will help me to take interesting photos to remember the trip. I’ve gotten to the point where my photos of the trip are my favorite souvenirs, thought I do like to pick up shot glasses, pint glasses, and mugs (in that order).<\/p>\n

Soon, I’ll visit New Orleans. I hope to take loads of photos. I hope to get some festive nighttime shots.<\/p>\n

\"bokeh1\"<\/p>\n

This is where bokeh tutorials come in. Actually bokeh piqued my interest during December when I was obsessively pinning images for my December scrapbooking board<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In that context, the posts were all about how to get the bokeh effect in your Christmas tree photos. I played  around with my camera then, but had minimal success.<\/p>\n

A lot of the sources I consulted mentioned a 50mm f\/1.8 lens. So, I gave it a whirl, and I had some success. So, I made some more bokeh filters<\/a> and played this briefly before moving on to other tasks.<\/p>\n

\"bokeh3\"I can’t wait to make more.<\/p>\n

A cloud?<\/p>\n

A mask?<\/p>\n

A cup spilling drink? Drank?<\/p>\n
