punpkin waffles<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Due to a snowstorm, I did not venture outside beyond the car at all today.<\/p>\n

But for once, I knew that this weather was coming and was able to plan appropriately. So, I did my grocery shopping yesterday and was stocked up for a good weekend of cooking. This morning I made pumpkin waffles.<\/a> They were delicious as was the apple cider syrup<\/a> that I attempted to make to go with them.<\/p>\n

The other thing I cooked was Winter Tomato Soup from Mark Bittman’s How to Cook Everything Vegetarian<\/a><\/em> and a Beet and Avocado Salad With Citrus from the same book.<\/p>\n

I can’t complain. The young one ate some of all of it. And I’m all set for some cooking tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
