BBA Challenge strikes again. This time, the bread is brioche.
This sounds incredibly dense, but it didn’t occur to me until I came across the blog French Laundry at Home that what I am doing is cooking, or in this case baking, my way from beginning to end of a cookbook. I am glad that I didn’t quite conceptualize it this way, being caught up in the novelty of doing this “challenge.” The idea may have proven too daunting for me. However, now, the possibilities have been cracked wide open.
Anyway, on with the brioche. When given the choice between poor man’s brioche, rich man’s brioche and middle class brioche (all referring to the amount of butter included in the recipe), I went all out and made the rich man’s brioche. How much butter are we talking? 4 sticks!
All’s well that ends well and this bread was tasty.
