I don’t know what got into me.
I knew that I wanted to have grits. I love them. They may be my number one comfort food. I like to eat them when I’m sick. I like to eat them when I just don’t know what to eat. Grits feel like love in my tummy.
But it was as if a voice whispered to me, “You know, you can add peanut butter and jelly to them. It’ll be good. You’ll like it.”
That voice was right.
Making the grits was nothing difficult.
I made grits like regular, and added about a tablespoon of strawberry preserves. When the grits were the texture I like, I added a dollop of peanut butter on top.
Not too shabby for a whim! I’m sure to repeat this.
